
Dutch Champion
We are happy to explain how your dog can earn one of the Dutch championship titles. If desired, we are happy to assist our members and exhibitors with this.
How does your dog become a Dutch Champion?
Dutch Junior Champion
- 3x first place with Excellent in junior class
- Obtained at a CAC and/or CACIB show or championship club show (KCM)
- Under at least 2 different judges
- There are no so-called “Junior-CACs”
When obtaining and registering the title Dutch Junior Champion, your dog automatically receives one CAC.
To apply for the title, use the form on the website of the Raad van Beheer. You will then receive an invoice for the costs. After payment, the diploma will be sent.

Dutch Veteran Champion
- 3x first place with Excellent in veteran class
- Obtained at a CAC and/or CACIB show or championship club show (KCM)
- Under at least 2 different judges
- There are no so-called “Veteran-CACs”
When obtaining and registering the title Dutch Veteran Champion, your dog automatically receives one CAC.
To apply for the title, use the form on the website of the Raad van Beheer. You will then receive an invoice for the costs. After payment, the diploma will be sent.

Dutch Champion
- 4x CAC
- Two different judges
- CAC is awarded per gender (best male and best female)
- The following dogs are eligible for best male and best female: all dogs with 1 excellent from the junior, intermediate, open, champion, working and veteran classes
- The CAC of the Winner show and the championship club show (KCM) counts double
- In the following cases, one full CAC is also awarded:
- A reserve CAC at the championship club show (KCM)
- 4x reserve CAC at a CAC and/or CACIB exhibition
- If the dog that won the CAC is already Dutch Champion, the CAC is passed on to the reserve CAC*
- When obtaining and registering the title of Dutch Junior Champion
- When obtaining and registering the title of Dutch Veteran Champion
- The last CAC must be obtained at the age of at least 27 months
- If the dog has already won 4x CAC, a reserve CAC after at least 27 months is sufficient
- A double CAC can only be used once
- A CAC that is built up from 4 reserves can only be used once

The title is automatically awarded by the Raad van Beheer. No action is required from the exhibitor.*

The title and diploma are free. As soon as your dog is Dutch champion, you can order the champion cross via the form on the Raad van Beheer website. The champion crosses have a different color each year. The name of the dog and the year of award are inscribed on the back of the champion cross.
Champion cross fee 2025: € 74.50
* The awarding of CACs is done fully automatically by the Raad van Beheer and in order of show date. If a dog becomes champion on Saturday, the reserve CAC, if applicable, will be passed on, on Sunday. No action is required by the exhibitor.
It is important for foreign exhibitors to make sure that the registration number has the exact same format at all times for all entries at Dutch shows. For example, pay attention to spaces.
NHSB 123456 and NHSB123456 may not be recognized by the system as the same dog. Most shows now work with onlinedogshows where this problem is solved, but pay attention when registering for shows with a different system.

Dutch Grand Champion
This title is automatically awarded by the Raad van Beheer to dogs that are Dutch Junior Champion and Dutch Champion and Dutch Veteran Champion.
Club Winner
All dogs that have become Best of Breed at a championship club show (KCM) automatically receive the title Club Winner + year, from the Raad van Beheer.
